Ms. Finlay graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Ms. Finlay graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western State University College of Law where she was a member of Law Review. During law school, she worked for the Honorable Justice William Rylaarsdam at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Santa Ana as a legal research assistant. She was admitted to the California State Bar in November 1999.

In her first years at The Walker Law Firm, Ms. Finlay's practice emphasized appellate law and general business and real estate litigation. In 2004, Ms. Finlay's emphasis changed to estate planning and probate and trust litigation. She enrolled in Chapman School of Law to obtain her LL.M. degree in Taxation and graduated in May of 2007. Presently, Ms. Finlay's practice emphasizes estate and succession planning and probate and trust litigation.
